Demo Class, Fees & Replacement: Parent FAQs Answered
Here are answers to the questions parents ask us most about demo classes, fees and tutor replacement. If your question isn't here, contact our team. We're happy to help.
Demo Classes
Is the demo class free?
[Owner to confirm demo class policy — free or paid, and how many demos a family can take.]
How long is a demo class?
Usually about 30–45 minutes, enough for the tutor to understand your child's level and teach one topic.
What should I look for in the demo?
Does the tutor explain clearly? Is your child comfortable and involved? Did the tutor check what your child already knows? Did the tutor share a plan?
What if we don't like the tutor after the demo?
Tell us, and we'll look for another suitable tutor.
Fees
How are tuition fees decided?
Fees depend on the class, subject, board, number of days per week, session length, the tutor's experience and your area. We share the expected range when we understand your requirement. See our Gurugram tuition fee guide and city fee guides for typical ranges.
Do I pay the tutor or Param Tuition Bureau?
[Owner to confirm the payment model: paid directly to the tutor, to PTB, or any registration/service fee for parents.]
When is the fee paid?
[Owner to confirm payment timing, e.g. monthly in advance by a fixed date.]
Are there any extra charges?
[Owner to confirm whether there is any registration fee for parents, or for travel or materials.]
Classes and Holidays
How many days a week are classes held?
That's up to you and the tutor. Common options are 3, 5 or 6 days a week.
What happens if the tutor misses a class?
The tutor should inform you in advance and arrange a make-up class at a mutually convenient time.
What happens during school holidays and festivals?
Agree on this with the tutor at the start. Some families pause tuition during long holidays; others use the time for revision. [Owner to confirm the standard policy on holidays and fee adjustments, if any.]
Replacement
Can I change the tutor?
Yes. If the tutor isn't the right fit, for any reason, tell us and we'll help find a replacement.
Is there a charge for replacement?
[Owner to confirm whether a replacement is free and whether there is a time limit.]
How quickly can you find a replacement?
[Owner to confirm typical replacement timelines.]
Safety
Are your tutors verified?
Yes. Read our child safety and tutor verification policy.
Should someone be at home during classes?
We strongly recommend that an adult is at home during tuition, especially for young children.
How do I report a concern?
Contact our team through the official phone or WhatsApp number on our contact page. In an emergency, call 112.
Online Tuition
Do you offer online tuition?
Yes. See online tuition. Online classes are useful for senior students, for families who travel, and when no suitable tutor lives nearby.
What do we need for online classes?
A laptop or tablet, a stable internet connection, and a quiet study space. A headset helps too.
