Home Tuition in DLW, Varanasi
The DLW area, around the locomotive works now officially called Banaras Locomotive Works, is one of Varanasi's largest planned colonies, with its own layout, quarters and a strong railway-employee community. About 120 registered tutors list DLW among the areas they cover, making it the second-deepest tutor pool in the city after BHU.
A colony with its own rhythm
A works colony runs on shifts, and many households here have a parent on rotating or early-morning hours. That is hard to fit into a fixed evening batch. Home tutors can agree a slot with the family, and we ask each tutor to confirm the agreed timings before the demo class.
The colony layout also helps: tutors who live inside or beside the campus can reach several homes without crossing the city, which keeps the schedule steady.
Where the DLW tutor pool is strong
With over 120 tutors listing DLW, choice is wide. Among them:
- About 25 are women, which helps families who prefer a female tutor for younger children.
- Nearly 40 teach Physics or Chemistry, which suits Class 9 to 12 board students.
- Nearly 50 teach Maths, from primary classes through to Class 12.
