The Thirsty Crow

It was the hottest day of summer. A crow flew over fields and roofs looking for water, but every pond had dried up.

At last he saw a clay pot in a garden. He flew down and peeped in. There was a little water at the very bottom, but his beak could not reach it.

The crow did not give up. He looked around and saw small pebbles on the ground. He had an idea!

One by one, he picked up the pebbles and dropped them into the pot. Plop! Plop! Plop! With every pebble, the water rose a little higher.

Soon the water came right up to the top. The crow drank and drank until he was no longer thirsty. Then he flew away, happy and cool.

Moral of the story

Don't give up. Where there is a will, there is a way.
